On July 3, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from May 26 through June 28. The report highlighted 401 calls for service, a decrease of six calls from the previous month.
Staff performed 255 boat safety inspections, 69 quagga inspections, 21 boat tows, and five debris/other retrievals and disposal.
In addition to 82 verbal and four written warnings, staff issued 112 citations. Eight-seven of those citations were for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.
Patrol boats operated 222.8 hours on the main lake, 120.8 hours on the East Bay, and 1.4 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated for 134 hours, boat two for 193.9 hours, boat three for 1.4 hours, and boat four for 15.7 hours.
Incident reports include securing a sinking dock at the Canyon Lake Villa Docks and securing a sinking dock at the rental docks.
Marine Patrol staff are employees of the CLPOA. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
