Canyon Lake Marine Patrol on Thursday rescued a female who injured her leg while paddleboarding near Indian Beach in the East Bay.
According to eyewitness Art Femister, who viewed the incident from his home, the victim was unable to get back out of the water after she fell off a paddleboard and injured her leg.
Marine Patrol Officer Pearson pulled the victim from the water and transported her to paramedics at the Roadrunner Park dock.
“It appeared that when they removed the young woman from the Marine Patrol boat using a portable stretcher, her leg was wrapped from an injury as she was placed on a stretcher cart and rolled up to the awaiting AMR ambulance for transport to the hospital,” Femister said. “We are so fortunate to have our own in-house Marine Patrol now with dedicated patrol officers who can assist not only boats in distress but people as well.”
