Mayor Pro Tem Larry Greene announced his registration from the Canyon Lake City Council. Greene will be relocating to his 44-acre ranch in Montana on November 1. The October meeting will be Greene’s last council meeting.

A canyon Lake resident for more than 45 years, Greene was elected to the city council in 2016. He was appointed mayor in December 2018. Greene resigned from the city council on August 20, 2019, to care for a family member.

Greene was reappointed to the council in October 2019. The citizens of Canyon Lake reelected Greene in 2020. The following December, the council appointed Greene to his current position of mayor pro tem.

Greene’s four-year term on the council ends in 2024.

“It’s been a real honor to have served this community,” Greene said.
