The Canyon Lake POA announced the names of the seven applicants hoping to be appointed to the vacant seat on the board. The seat became vacant when Director Brian Bock announced his resignation on August 2.
Residents interested in filling the seat had until August 9 to submit an application. The seven qualified candidates are Dan Birch, Alex Cook, Carl Gardner, Paul Hawker, Joe Kamashian, Jeanne O’Dell, and Kara Weinraub.
The current four directors will vote during an open session meeting on August 22 to appoint one of the candidates to fill Bock’s seat for the remainder of his two-year term, which ends in May 2023.
The Canyon Lake POA five-member board of directors are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the POA’s business affairs. The board directors are elected by at-large for staggered two-year terms. The terms are staggered with three directors in odd years and two directors in even years.
