The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors on Tuesday approved the Canyon Lake Enrichment, Activities and Recreation (C.L.E.A.R.) Foundation as a sanctioned club.
The benefits of being a POA sanctioned club include discounted use of POA facilities and common areas, discounted menu items for club banquets, use of certain POA equipment for sanctioned club functions, advertisement for club functions and upcoming events, and club information and contact listing on the POA website.
The C.L.E.A.R. Foundation was formed in 2018 by Councilwoman Kasey Castillo, who had a vision to start a program that would benefit Canyon Lake kids between the ages of eight and 16.
The C.L.E.A.R. Foundation is a nonprofit, philanthropic, charitable foundation geared at enriching the lives of Canyon Lake kids. It was born out of a need for a hub to interface with the city, POA, water district, community clubs and groups, local businesses, and community members that want to contribute to a tax-exempt program that benefits Canyon Lake kids.
The goal of the C.L.E.A.R. Foundation is to encourage healthy choices and good judgment through programs and recreational activities that promote conservation, lake stewardship, water safety, awareness, team building, and community involvement.
For the second consecutive year, the C.L.E.A.R. Foundation will be partnering with the California State Parks at State Recreation Area Lake Perris to provide Jr. Lifeguard opportunities to Canyon Lake youth. C.L.E.A.R. will also be hosting a free Stroke Clinic on April 15 at the lodge pool for kids who plan to try out for Jr. Lifeguards. From July 24 through July 26, C.L.E.A.R. will be partnering with Canyon Lake watersports clubs to host a wakeboarding and waterskiing summer camp.
