Canyon Lake POA approves new rule regarding vehicles yielding to pedestrians, golf carts crossing the road

The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors approved a 28-day reading to add a new rule regarding vehicles needing to yield for pedestrians and golf carts crossing the road.

It was brought to the attention of the Rules Review Committee the need for a rule for pedestrians and golf carts crossing the road. At the April meeting, the Rules Committee met to discuss this concern. The committee felt this was a safety concern for all and created a new rule.

On May 7, the POA Board of Directors approved a 28-day reading to add rule Gr.5.1u: The driver of a motorized vehicle shall yield the right of way to any person(s) crossing the roadway within the marked crossings. No person(s) shall create a situation as to constitute an immediate hazard.

The fine for violating this rule is $100 for the first offense, $150 for the second offense, and $200 for the third offense.
