The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors approved $36,762.57 for two new speed trailers.
The existing speed trailers utilize older technology that is not upgradeable and is no longer supported by the company. The new modern speed trailers have updated components, cameras, and battery life, allowing for a better and more streamlined product.
Director Van Vleet noted that the speed trailers generate revenue through speeding citations, ultimately allowing them to pay for themselves over time.
The speed trailers are strategically deployed in the community at various locations throughout the week.
