The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors on Tuesday approved Karen Doherty as a new member of the Senior Work Group. The Senior Work Group members voted their approval of the appointment at their June 1 monthly meeting.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Work Group is to advise the POA Board of Directors on new programs and concepts for use at the Canyon Lake Senior Center.
Doherty, a resident since 2012, currently serves as scholarship chair of the Yacht Club and parliamentarian of the Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club. She is also a member of the Veterans Day Committee, Woman’s Club, and Senior Chair Volleyball Club.
