With nine more months left of his two-year term, Canyon Lake POA Board Director Brian Bock announced at the end of Tuesday’s board meeting that he is resigning from his position, effective immediately. Bock was elected in May 2021.
“Although on the whole, I ably, and I hope that’s the case that people feel, balance my life and work and board duties and responsibilities over the last year and a half, literally, I have felt these last few months to be too much, and too much even for me,” Bock said.
Bock said he needs to focus on work and family commitments first and foremost. “It is in the Canyon Lake’s families, including my own, best interest that someone who can dedicate more time and new energy to this role takes my place moving forward and into the next election cycle of 2023,” he said.
Individuals interested in filling Bock’s position must submit an application by Tuesday, August 9, at 5 p.m. Applications and a list of qualifications will be available on the POA’s website starting Wednesday, August 3.
The Canyon Lake POA five-member board of directors are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the POA’s business affairs. The board directors are elected by at-large for staggered two-year terms. The terms are staggered with three directors in odd years and two directors in even years.
