Three of the five seats on the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors are up for election on May 11. Homeowners interested in running for a seat on the board must be a Canyon Lake POA prime or associate member in good standing and submit an Intent to Run form to the POA office no later than 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 2.
Candidates are not permitted to campaign (i.e. forums, pins/badges, signs, flyers, etc.) until they have attended a Candidate Orientation Meeting on Friday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the POA office. Election signs may be placed in the community setback starting Sunday, March 12.
Ballots will be mailed to prime members on Monday, April 3. Civil code requires ballots to be sent out at least 30 days prior to the meeting date, which is May 13.
The last day it is recommended a homeowner mail a ballot is on Friday, May 5.
The Annual Meeting of the Members and Election of Directors will be held on Thursday, May 11, at 8 a.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. The meeting will be called to order and polls will close at approximately 9 a.m. If a quorum is not met, the alternate meeting date will be on Saturday, May 13.
Associate members are not entitled to vote in the election. Prime members have one vote per unit/lot/parcel owned.
