On August 28, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from July 27 through August 23. The report highlighted 210 calls for service, a decrease of 65 calls from the previous month.
Staff performed 55 boat safety inspections, 67 quagga inspections, 23 boat tows, five battery assists, and 15 debris/other retrievals and disposal.
In addition to 82 verbal warnings and two written warnings, staff issued 12 citations.
Patrol boats operated 190.3 hours on the main lake, 96.9 hours on the East Bay, and 6.4 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 96.6 hours, boat two operated 159.1 hours, boat three operated 6.4 hours, and boat four operated 31.5 hours.
Marine Patrol staff are employees of the CLPOA. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
