On January 2, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from December 29, 2025, through January 25, 2026. The report highlighted 56 calls for service.
Staff performed seven boat safety inspections, seven quagga inspections, four boat tows, one battery assist, and 17 debris/other retrieval and disposal. Four fishing license checks were performed.
In addition to 27 verbal warnings, staff issued seven citations. The citations include two for expired/no registration (state) and five for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.
Patrol boats operated 116.1 hours on the main lake, 77.7 hours on the East Bay, and 6.4 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 98.9 hours, boat two operated 95 hours, boat three operated 6.3 hours, and boat four did not operate.
Unlike Community Patrol personnel, Marine Patrol staff are employees of the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
