On July 29, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Community Patrol report for the month of June 2022.
Community Patrol received 210 calls for service. Fifteen suspicious persons/vehicles were reported with an average response time of eight minutes.
Fifty-nine speeding citations were issued by staff. Seventy-one speeding tickets were issued by the speed trailers.
Eight animal-related citations, seven noise citations, four fishing-related citations, one solicitation, and 49 golf-cart-related citations were issued. Two citations were issued for verbal abuse to staff.
Fourteen trailer parking citations, five RV parking citations, five unsightly/inoperable vehicle citations, and five long-term parking citations were issued.
Staff confiscated 150 guest passes and issued 18 gate runner citations.
There were 116,555 RFID entries at the main gate, 59,583 RFID entries at the east gate, and 39,881 RFID entries at the north gate.
There were 40,591 guest entries at the main gate, 25,853 guest entries at the east gate, and 16,704 guest entries at the north gate.
Staff issued 17,995 guest passes at the main gate, 12,144 guest passes at the east gate, and 7,964 guest passes at the north gate.
Community Patrol reported two motor vehicle accidents and 13 vandalism incidents.
Community Patrol services are provided by the Canyon Lake POA. Its primary functions are rules and regulations compliance, gate access control, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
Community Patrol can assist with barking or loose dogs, illegal fishing, loud noise complaints, motorcycle riding in the community, speeding vehicles, parking violations, vehicle accidents, and other non-emergency incidents.
