On December 31, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Community Patrol report for the month of November.
Community Patrol received 284 calls for service in November. Twenty-two suspicious persons/vehicles were reported with an average response time of 9.22 minutes.
Forty speeding citations were issued by staff and 199 by the speed trailers.
Seven noise citations, one verbal abuse to staff citation, 18 golf cart-related citations, three fishing-related citations, and six animal-related citations were issued. Two citations were issued for verbal abuse to staff.
Thirteen trailer parking citations, five RV parking citations, and 26 unsightly/inoperable vehicle citations were issued.
Staff confiscated 183 guest passes and issued three gate runner citations.
There were 117,392 RFID entries at the main gate, 59,740 RFID entries at the east gate, and 41,551 RFID entries at the north gate. The number of guest passes and guest entries for each gate was not indicated on the report due to the reporting system being down.
Three motor vehicle accidents and 14 vandalism incidents were reported.
Community Patrol services are provided by the Canyon Lake POA. Its primary functions are rules and regulations compliance, gate access control, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
Community Patrol can assist with barking or loose dogs, illegal fishing, loud noise complaints, motorcycle riding in the community, speeding vehicles, parking violations, vehicle accidents, and other non-emergency incidents.
