On April 3, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from February 23 through March 29. The report highlighted 114 calls for service.
Staff performed 28 boat safety inspections, 39 quagga inspections, 19 boat tows, one battery assist, and 14 debris/other retrieval and disposal.
In addition to 38 verbal and three written warnings, staff issued one citation.
Patrol boats operated 202 hours on the main lake, 138.2 hours on the East Bay, and 1.9 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 148.9 hours, boat two operated 179.4 hours, boat three operated 1.9 hours, and boat four operated 11.9 hours.
Unlike Community Patrol personnel, Marine Patrol staff are employees of the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
