On February 3, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for the month of December.
Marine Patrol received 42 calls for service. Staff performed 14 boat safety inspections, five boat tows, 16 fishing license checks, and 11 quagga inspections.
Two warnings and four citations were issued for excessive wake. One warning and one citation were issued for reckless behavior while operating a motorized boat. Two fishing license citations were issued. One warning was issued for plowing.
One citation was issued for expired/no registration (state) and two citations were issued for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.
Patrol boats operated a total of 139.5 hours on the main lake, 138.5 hours on the East Bay, and 0.5 hours on the north ski area. Boat one operated 105.2 hours, boat two operated 55.5 hours, boat three operated 8.5 hours, and boat four operated 109.3 hours.
The primary functions of the Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
