On January 2, 2026, the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association presented its Marine Patrol report for incidents that occurred from November 24 through December 28, 2025. The report highlighted 42 calls for service.
Staff performed 11 boat safety inspections, 12 quagga inspections, seven boat tows, three battery assists, and 16 debris/other retrieval and disposal. Eleven license checks were performed.
In addition to 13 verbal warnings and one written warning, staff issued 33 citations. The citations include five for expired/no registration (state) and 28 for expired/no registration (CLPOA).
Patrol boats operated 131 hours on the main lake, 95.5 hours on the East Bay, and 0.2 hours on the north ski area.
Boat one operated 113.3 hours, boat two operated 113.2 hours, boat three operated five hours, and boat four operated 0.2 hours.
Unlike Community Patrol personnel, Marine Patrol staff are employees of the POA. Marine Patrol’s primary functions are compliance with rules and regulations, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting.
