Canyon Lake POA presents Marine Patrol report for January 2023

On March 3, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for the month of January.

Marine Patrol received 32 calls for service. Staff performed 4 boat safety inspections, seven boat tows, two battery assists, 35 fishing license checks, and five quagga inspections.

Seven warnings were issued for excessive wake, two warnings were issued for reckless behavior while operating a motorized boat, and one warning was issued for plowing.

One citation was issued for loud noise and one citation was issued for expired/no registration at a dock or lift.

Patrol boats operated a total of 171.4 hours on the main lake, 137.3 hours on the East Bay, and 0 hours on the north ski area. Boat one operated 11.7 hours, boat two operated 159.2 hours, boat three operated 9.4 hours, and boat four operated 128.4 hours.

The primary functions of the Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
