On April 29, the Canyon Lake POA presented the Marine Patrol report for the month of March 2022.
Marine Patrol received 108 calls for service in March. Staff performed 40 boat safety inspections, 19 boat tows, two battery assists, and 22 quagga inspections.
Marine Patrol performed 18 fishing license checks and issued four fishing license citations.
Three citations and three warnings were issued for excessive wake. One citation was issued for reckless behavior while operating a motorized boat. One citation and two warnings were issued for failure to present ID. One warning was issued for noise.
Two citations were issued for expired/no registration (POA) and 13 citations were issued for expired/no registration (state).
Patrol boats operated a total of 193.7 hours on the main lake and 124 hours on the East Bay. Boats did not operate on the north ski area in March. Boat one operated 99.3 hours, boat two did not operate, boat three operated 51 hours, and boat four operated 167.4 hours.
No incidents were reported in the month of March.
The primary functions of Marine Patrol are rules and regulations compliance, quagga and boat safety inspections, and incident observation and reporting to the POA.
