The Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors recognized resident Larry Garland for his contributions to the community.

With a lifelong passion for singing, Garland has been entertaining the community as a member of the Canyon Lake Choraleers since 2013.

In addition to his many performances with the choir, Garland served as president for eight years and coordinates ticket sales, programs, and technical aspects for the group’s concerts.

Garland joined the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild in 2016 and has served on the board in the roles of vice president, director of publicity, and director of operations.

Notably, Garland was a member of the committee that developed specifications for improving the sound and theatrical lighting in the Holiday Bay Room, the venue for many community performances.

Garland operates the new lighting system for all POA and Fine Arts Guild concerts. Most recently, Garland installed the sound system for the new Lighthouse lounge and terrace.

Garland has been a Canyon Lake resident since 2010.
