
Canyon Lake resident Darcy Burke was elected on Thursday to serve as vice president of the EVMWD Board of Directors. Burke represents District 1, which encompasses Canyon Lake and portions of Lake Elsinore. She was elected to the EVMWD Board in 2018.
“I am honored to have been elected vice president and I am looking forward to representing Division 1 in a greater leadership role,” Burke said.
Burke has spent her career in the non-profit and public service sectors, focusing on strategic planning, partnership development, operation efficiencies, communications, and legislative regulatory affairs.
Burke is the president and CEO of the business consulting firm Watermark Associates. Prior to leading Watermark, Burke served as the director of public affairs for the Municipal Water District of Orange County and executive director for The Center for Water Education. She is a past member of the California Department of Public Health Services Title 22 Technical Advisory Committee and founder of the (CA-NV-AWWA) Water College.
The 21-year resident of Canyon Lake is a member of the Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club, Temecula Noon Rotary Club, and the American Water Works Association, and a past president of Mount St. Mary’s University MBA Alumni Professionals.
