Bowman’s act of kindness provided a sense of family and community for the service members, who are stationed away from home.

Bowman, whose own son is a Marine currently stationed in Flordia and unable to come home for the holiday, provided a catered Thanksgiving feast featuring turkey and a variety of traditional fixings. “I want to thank the Menifee Texas Roadhouse for providing a discount to offset the cost of the feast,” Bowman said. “The Texas Roadhouse is a big support of those who serve our county.”

The evening was filled with food, games, and laughter. “It was an honor to be their honorary ‘Marine Mom’ for the holiday,” Bowman said.

Bowman’s Thanksgiving gathering is a shining example of the spirit of generosity and community that defines Canyon Lake. Her efforts to make the holiday special for these Marines will be remembered as a true act of kindness.
