About a dozen Canyon Lake seniors will represent the community in the Spring Softball Challenge on Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, at Diamond Valley Park, 1806 Angler Ave., Hemet
Led by players/managers Kent Skidmore and Glenn Stevenson, the roster includes Orlando Lopez, Dennis McCoy, Steve Jankowski, Larry Hixon, Clay Lilley, Bill Dailey, Rob Robinson, Larry Trudeau, Ron Martel, Edgar Carroll, and Hank Alonzo.
Games will be played on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on Field 2 and at 11 a.m. on Field 1. On Sunday, players will take the field at 8 a.m. on Field 4
The playoffs, depending on the results, will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. on Field 1 or Field 2. The championship game, if they qualify, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Field 1.
The players invite the community to cheer on the Canyon Lake senior players. This will be their only planned tournament as a Canyon Lake team. After this event, each player will return to their respective teams.
