The Ray Novak Memorial trophy is presented annually to the most valuable person to the club. Sacks will be the 36th name added to the trophy.
A member of the Canyon Lake Ski Club for more than three decades, Sacks organizes the club’s annual community Pancake Breakfast with Santa and Learn to Ride Day events, serves as a judge for the Canyon Lake regional slalom ski tournaments, and co-manages the club’s social media sites.
Sacks also arranges for the sightings of Santa, the polar bear, and the Easter Bunny skiing at the north ski area.
Skiing since the age of five, Sacks has been on the podium at both regionals and nationals. She has been a resident of Canyon Lake since 1991.
