Canyon Lake student Morgan Wagoner, 17, recently committed to playing tennis at Pacific University, a private university in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Wagoner has been a part of the Temescal Canyon High School tennis team for the past four years, winning three league championships and being selected to be a part of the first team All-League team. Wagoner also serves as one of the team’s captains.
In addition to her school team, Wagoner is part of the Canyon Lake Junior Tennis Program, playing on teams and winning big matches, including a USTA tournament.
“She has always been one of the most energetic players on the team and such a pleasure to coach over the years,” said Bobby Kielty, Wagoner’s coach at Temescal Canyon High School and in the Canyon Lake Junior Tennis Program. “I am so happy for her to get this great opportunity to keep playing a sport she loves to play.”
Wagoner will be heading off to college this summer, where she’ll be majoring in psychology.
