The Canyon Lake Tennis Club recently demonstrated its community spirit by collecting $1,000 to create care packages for Los Angeles firefighters.

Tennis club members gathered at the courts this afternoon to assemble 100 care packages, expressing their gratitude to the firefighters battling the devastating fires in Los Angeles County. The care packages will be delivered to a Los Angeles fire station.

In addition to the care packages, the club organized a collection drive to support the families who lost their homes. Donations included blankets, clothing, food items, and pet food, reflecting the community’s commitment to aiding those in need during this challenging time.

The food will be delivered to Canyon Lake residents hosting families affected by the fires, while the blankets and clothing will be donated to a Pasadena donation center.

“Our Canyon Lake Tennis Club is working with local firefighter families to give back to those fighting the fires and those affected by the fires,” President Elizabeth Cardoza said. “We are so grateful for the generous donations provided by our members and community. It’s amazing what we were able to accomplish in just 24 hours. We may host a second drive, depending on the needs of the firefighters.”

The club’s efforts showcase the power of coming together to support both first responders and displaced families affected by fires.
