Canyon Lake to host USTA Open Tennis Tournament

Canyon Lake will be hosting the USTA Open Tennis Tournament from February 4 through February 6. Registration is open for USTA players from 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and the men’s and women’s open levels.

There will be $3,000 in prize money: $750 to the men’s and women’s singles champions, $250 to the men’s and women’s singles finalists, $350 to the men’s and women’s doubles champions, and $150 to the men’s and women’s doubles finalists. Champions in all other divisions will receive $100 only if at least eight players/teams sign up for the division.

All matches will be played at the Canyon Lake tennis courts and Temescal Canyon High School. Open players must be available to play on Friday. Players are limited to two events. No refunds will be given after draws are made.

Located adjacent to the lodge and overlooking Canyon Lake, the tennis center features six lighted tennis courts, a shaded viewing deck, and an outdoor patio. The tennis center serves up weekly play, private and group lessons, camps, special events, and more all year long.
