Canyon Lake Traffic Enforcement Operation results in two DUI arrests, 15 citations

Two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence and 15 were cited during a Traffic Enforcement Operation on July 5 in the City of Canyon Lake.

Conduction by the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies between the hours of 6 p.m. and 12 a.m., the operation resulted in two DUI arrests, one felony arrest for an outstanding warrant, one misdemeanor arrest warrant served, and 15 citations for unlicensed/suspended drivers, speeding, cell phones, and golf cart operation restricted. Three vehicles were towed.

The operation focused on drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and overall traffic safety.

Funding was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
