Canyon Lake Woman’s Club installs new board

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club held the last meeting of its 2022-2023 on June 21 at the senior center. In addition to awarding $20,000 in scholarships to Canyon Lake female students and $20,000 to local organizations, the club installed its new board members for the 2023-2024 season.

The new board members are Samantha Gorrell, president; April McKinnon, 1st vice president programs; Shelley Carter, second vice president membership; Linda Gavin and Pam De Bry, 3rd vice president ways and means; Bonnie Wade, 4th vice president philanthropy; Karen Wallace, treasurer; Debra Sacks, secretary; Rose Marie Hand, parliamentarian; and Tarrie Sullivan, publicity.

The Woman’s Club holds monthly general meetings on the third Wednesday from September through June. Doors open at 9 a.m. for vendor shopping. The meeting starts at 10 a.m., followed by a speaker and lunch. Lunch is optional and must be reserved. Annual membership is $30.
