Canyon Lake Woman’s Club to kick-off 48th season September 16

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club will kick-off its 48th season with an informal meeting on Wednesday, September 16, at Holiday Harbor Park.

Vendor shopping will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. Guest speaker Greg Cassidy of G-Force Fitness will be discussing the topic of fitness at 11 a.m. 

The meeting includes a picnic-style lunch. Attendees are asked to bring their own sack lunch, beverage, and lawn chair.

The Woman’s Club is a non-profit, non-partisan, philanthropic service organization dedicated to the enrichment of Canyon Lake and helping others less fortunate. Its mission is to provide a safe gathering place for the women of Canyon Lake to raise funds to help those in need, both individuals and charities, and to provide scholarships to local students for the continuation of their education after high school. The club awards approximately $25,000 to $40,000 to local charities and students each year.

Annual club membership is $20. Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday at 10 a.m. For additional information, visit www.canyonlakewomansclub.com.
