
The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club hosted its “Always on My Mind” Elvis-themed Valentine’s Day Tournament on Tuesday at 8 a.m. More than 40 players participate in the 18-hole tournament. The format was a four-person scramble.
The winners are as follows:



A Flight
First Place Low Gross: Darlene Cortez, Anita Fairfield, and Linda Hudson
First Place Low Net: Kay Arth, Mary Burns, Betty Henry, and Valerie Montgomery
Second Place Low Net: KK Beecher, Linda Johnson, Linda Kamashian, and Anne Norris
B Flight
First Place Low Gross: Rita Crocker, Claudia Pinto, Jeannette Williams, and Victoria Wood
First Place Low Net: Marlene Cathro, Donna Nunes, Barbara Spraul, and Maxine Whalen
Second Place Low Net: Lila Gann, Merilyn Murphy, Alice Ramirez, and Joanna Spiller
After play, the women enjoyed lunch, “Elvis” trivia, an opportunity drawing, and an awards presentation. The tournament was organized by Linda Johnson, KK Beech, Linda Kamashian, and Anne Norris,
The Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club was formed in 1971 and is a member of the Southern California Golf Association.



The mission of the Women’s Golf Club is to create and maintain a friendly atmosphere in which golfers of all abilities can participate in, and enjoy, the game of golf. The club promotes camaraderie, social events, tournaments, and recognition.
Upcoming tournaments include the Club Championship on March 8, 10, and 15, Senior Tournament on April 12 and 19, President’s Cup on May 17 and 14, Member/Member Tournament on September 13, 15, and 20, Jack and Jill Tournament on November 19, and the Christmas Tournament on December 13.
