The Canyon Lake Yacht Club invites the community to join them in kicking off Independence Day weekend with a patriotic evening on the water during its America 250 Patriotic Parade of Boats on Friday, July 3.
Participants will gather at the Holiday Harbor Park boat docks at 6 p.m. for a dockside dessert and coffee social before setting sail on the main lake. The evening will include a 13-horn salute honoring the original 13 Colonies.
Designed as the official kickoff to the July 4 fireworks weekend, the event encourages participants to decorate their boats in red, white, and blue as Canyon Lake’s waterways come alive with patriotic spirit. Organizers say the celebration is open to the entire community to enjoy an evening of fellowship on the lake.
Non-boat owners are welcome to join the dockside dessert and coffee social. A limited number of seats will be available on Yacht Club boats for the cruise. Seats are first-come, first-served.
