The Canyon Lake Yacht Club named Holly and Dave Durston as its Deckhands of the Quarter. They have been active in the Yacht Club for five years, regularly supporting and participating in club events.
The Durstons are known for their creativity and spirit during the Yacht Club’s annual Parade of Lights boat parade. From their unforgettable award-winning “Leg Lamp” display to their earlier Cousin Eddie-inspired RV, their entries have become a highlight of the parade and a favorite among residents.
Residents of Canyon Lake for seven years, the Durstons met in 2018 and were married in 2020. Together, they have a blended family of four children.
The Durstons are also strong supporters of the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce, where they enjoy networking, building relationships, and promoting their businesses, Touchless Cover and Durston Builders. Holly is also employed as a first-grade teacher.
When they’re not volunteering or working, the Durstons enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, boating, and traveling. Their philosophy on life is, “Live the life you love and love the life you live.”
