The Canyon Lake Yacht Club is hosting a community Lake Clean-Up on Saturday, July 16, from 8 to 11 a.m. All members of the community are invited to participate. Non-boat owners are welcome to participate aboard one of the Yacht Club boats.
Participants will depart from the dock at Diamond Point Park at 8 a.m. to pick up shoreline debris that can be reached from the boat. Trash bags and nets will be provided.
A members-only potluck will be held at noon at Holiday Harbor Park. Not a Yacht Club member? Membership is just $15 annual. The membership form is available on the Yacht Club website at www.canyonlakeyachtclub.com. For more information, email [email protected].
The Yacht Club was established in 1990 by Canyon Lake residents who enjoyed time on the lake. Since that time, the Yacht Club has operated as a social and philanthropic club within the Canyon Lake constellation of sanctioned clubs and organizations.
The Yacht Club maintains a busy social calendar, bringing members together for dinners, sunset cruises, and other recreation. The club also hosts Canyon Lake’s iconic Parade of Lights holiday boat parade and gives back to the community through its student scholarship program.
