The Canyon Lake Yacht Club will be hosting a free “Learn How to Drive a Boat” clinic for Canyon Lake residents ages 12 and older on Saturday, June 3, from 12 to 4 p.m. Registration is required. Participants do not need to be members of the Yacht Club to participate in the clinic.
The club will have instructors for each type of power boat teaching the basics of boat operations. Boat types include wakeboard, ski, deck, and pontoon boats.
Participants will learn the basics at the dock, including boating safety and navigation protocols, and then go out on the water to watch the instructor demonstrate the basics under power.

The Yacht Club will also be launching its new Auxiliary Fleet during the clinic. The Auxiliary Fleet is for kids ages 12 to 18 and is free to join.
