In celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day, the Canyon Lake Yacht Club members invite the community to cruise the lake with them on Sunday, March 19, Boaters will be meeting at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Harbor docks.
No boat, no problem. Non-boat owners can join by boarding one of the club’s boats.
After a short cruise around the lake, boats will tie up for an afterparty.
“Sure, and begorrah, we’ll be havin’ a fine time of celebrating with the lads and lassies,” Commodore Ron Wilbur said. “I’m personally coming for the food, but some people have said they’re bringing green beer. Not to raise controversy, but my thoughts on green beer is it just wasn’t allowed to age long enough. Besides, I’m bringing Irish coffee.”
Boaters are encouraged to dress in green and bring a dish or dessert to share.
Sunday’s cruise is one of twelve cruises on the Yacht Club’s event calendar this year. For more information, visit www.canyonlakeyachtclub.com.
