Canyon Lake resident Destiny Loney will take the stage at California Baptist University in Riverside on August 13 to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, marking a major milestone in her journey toward a career in medicine.
Loney has spent the past several years building a strong foundation in healthcare—both academically and through hands-on clinical experience. In 2022, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from California Baptist University, completing the rigorous program in just two years. During that time, Loney also gained invaluable real-world experience as a medical scribe at Rancho Family Medical Group, There, she developed clinical insight and deepened her passion for patient care.
As part of her master’s program, Loney completed a full year of clinical rotations across a range of specialties, including family medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, behavioral health, orthopedics, women’s health, and urgent care. These experiences further shaped her commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
A standout student from the beginning, Loney graduated as valedictorian of Santa Rosa Academy’s Class of 2020, where she also completed the school’s biomedical sciences track. Her commitment to excellence has remained steady as she transitioned from the classroom to the clinic.
With her graduate degree in hand, Loney is ready to take the next step in her professional journey and looks forward to the opportunities ahead. She plans to remain in the area as she begins her career as a physician assistant. She is eager to serve others with compassion, skill, and integrity—bringing her heart for healing back to the community that helped raise her.
