Celebration of Life to be held for Suzanne ‘Suzi’ Delia

A Celebration of Life will be held for Canyon Lake resident Suzanne “Suzi” Olson Delia on Monday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Country Club, 32001 Railroad Canyon Rd. Suzi passed away on March 1 at the age of 73.

Suzi was born in Santa Monica, California, on August 20, 1948. She spent her childhood years living in Santa Monica. Her family then relocated to La Verne, California, where she graduated from Bonita High School.

On July 8, 1978, Suzi married Peter Delia and resided in Culver City for 25 years before relocating to Canyon Lake. She worked in the aerospace industry for Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon for 31 years.

Suzi was involved in many clubs in Canyon Lake, including the Woman’s Club, Fine Arts Guild, Yacht Club, Roadrunners, Travel Club, and Car Club. When not busy with her clubs, Suzi loved to spend time with her family, read, and cook.

Suzi is survived by her husband Peter of 43 years, son Erik Hofmeister, step-children Tony Delia, Elena Aijala, and Sal Delia, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her stepson, Rick Delia, on July 18, 2019.
