The meeting of the Canyon Lake Chronic Illness Support Group will be held on Monday, September 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the CPR building at 31534 Railroad Canyon Rd. The monthly meetings are free and open to anyone with a chronic medical condition or illness. Caretakers are also welcome.
The support group brings together individuals who have chronic illnesses or conditions so they may benefit from mutual support in a safe environment. The meetings are led by Steven Prince, a Canyon Lake resident who suffered five strokes between May 2014 and October 2015.
“The meetings are positive, supportive, informative, and encouraging, and confidentiality is of the utmost importance,” Prince said. “No one understands chronic illness except other people with a chronic illness.”
