All Canyon Lake business licenses expire on December 31. The renewal fee is $45, and payments must be received or postmarked by January 31, 2026, to avoid late fees.
A $21 late fee will apply to renewals received between February 1 and February 28, 2026. A $41 late fee will apply to renewals received after February 28.
If a businesses is no longer operating within the city, owners are required to notify the city that the business has been discontinued.
All businesses operating within the City of Canyon Lake, including home-based businesses, are required to have a business license. This requirement also applies to businesses based outside city limits that provide services or conduct contracting work within the city.
Individuals found conducting business in Canyon Lake without a current business license may be subject to citations.
