Amidst recent interest from the community related to various public safety topics, the City of Canyon Lake established a Public Safety Ad Hoc Committee.
The purpose of the committee is to explore and discuss public safety-related initiatives and opportunities within the City of Canyon Lake as needed.
On Wednesday, the city council appointed Mayor Jeremy Smith and Councilman Mark Terry to the committee.
Mayor Smith and Councilman Terry, along with city staff, will meet as needed to discuss any issues associated with public safety services and programs. Areas of discussion include fire services, law enforcement, animal control, building and safety codes, and related special programs and projects.
