The City of Canyon Lake invites Canyon Lake students to enter its essay contest for an opportunity to win a $1,500 scholarship.
The contest is open to all high school seniors who reside in Canyon Lake. Entries are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Entries are limited to one per student.
There are two essay topics to choose from: How volunteering makes the Canyon Lake community stronger or how youth can be community leaders. Applicants may choose one topic or both topics in a single submission. Essays must be 500 to 750 words in length.
Only original and previously unpublished essays are eligible. Essays must be submitted electronically in PDF or Word format and be accompanied by the student’s resume.
