On September 13, Lieutenant Will Edwards presented to the Canyon Lake City Council a public safety update for the months of July and August.
During the month of July, deputies responded to 500 calls for service. Ten Part One crimes were reported: three aggravated assaults, four larcenies, and three motor vehicle thefts. Overall, three arrests were made: one DUI, one battery, and one domestic violence. Deputies also wrote three traffic citations and investigated 14 traffic collisions. This does not include traffic collisions in which no report was written.

Overall, three arrests were made: one DUI, one disorderly conduct, and one assault. Deputies also wrote four traffic citations and investigated four traffic collisions. This does not include traffic collisions in which no report was written.
