In support of Canyon Lake businesses and keeping local spending local, the City of Canyon Lake announced the relaunch of its Canyon Cash Program.
The city is offering bonus gift cards to consumers who purchase gift cards through the Canyon Cash Program. The city will add a $10 bonus card with the purchase of a $25 e-gift card, a $25 bonus card with the purchase of a $50 e-gift card, and a $50 bonus card with the purchase of a $100 e-gift card.
There is a limit of five bonus e-gift cards per purchaser for the duration of the campaign regardless of the gift recipients. The e-gift cards are only valid at Canyon Lake businesses participating in the program and cannot be redeemed for cash. The bonus e-gift cards expire one year from the date of purchase.

The city is encouraging Canyon Lake businesses to sign up for the program. There is no fee for businesses to participate; however, participating businesses must accept Mastercard payments and be able to process manual transactions. Businesses redeem the card when a consumer comes in with an e-gift card on their phone or a printed copy. The business is paid the full value of the card, less the normal manual entry Mastercard fee.
