The City of Canyon Lake’s Railroad Canyon Road Painting Improvements Project is anticipated to start on July 10 and take approximately six to eight weeks to complete. The project is funded with gas taxes.
City council approved $340,000 plus up to 10 percent for contract/construction management and up to eight percent contingency for the project. The contract was awarded to Color New Co.
The scope of work includes pressure washing, repairing, and painting all city boundary walls, traffic signals, and light poles, and painting Southern California Edison utility boxes and bollards along Railroad Canyon Road.
In addition, the city said Riverside Transit Agency will be replacing the blue bus stops with black bus stops at no cost to the city.
