The City of Lake Elsinore and CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department invite the community to is first annual Firefighters BBQ on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Launch Pointe, 3040 Riverside Dr.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to express gratitude to the dedicated firefighters who serve and protect the community, as well as the residents who support them every day. This event will also raise funds for the Burn Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering burn survivors, providing essential support services, and educating communities to prevent fire and burn injuries.
Admission and parking are free. The first 1,000 attendees will receive a complimentary hot dog, chips, and bottled water while supplies last.
The afternoon will feature a variety of engaging activities suitable for all ages, including firefighter games and competitions, interactive kids’ activities and games, live Jaws of Life demonstration showcasing rescue tools in action, 50/50 raffle with great prizes, and opportunities to meet and thank local firefighters.
“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from our community and our partners,” Division Chief Reed said. “This BBQ is our way of saying thank you to our firefighters for their tireless service and to the residents who stand with us. Together, we’re also helping the Burn Institute continue their vital work in supporting burn survivors and preventing future tragedies.”
The event is made possible through the support of the City of Lake Elsinore, CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, Launch Pointe, Costco, the Lake Elsinore Downtown Merchants Association, and the Burn Institute.
