City of Menifee seeking public input on Sun City Green Space

The City of Menifee is seeking public input on the Sun City Green Space and will be hosting a community engagement meeting on Monday, March 4, at 1 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 28200 Portsmouth Dr. This meeting will allow residents and community members to learn up-to-date information on this project and provide input on desired amenities.

Located on Portsmouth Drive adjacent to Faith Lutheran Church, the development of the city’s newest green space will create accessible recreation amenities within walking distance of the Sun City community. The 1.87-acre site could host a variety of accessible recreational amenities such as a walking path, shaded seating, and age-appropriate exercise equipment.

“We are thrilled about the addition of the Sun City Green Space, as it furthers our commitment to the community’s well-being and enhances the recreational opportunities here in Menifee,” District 1 Councilmember Bob Karwin said. “We look forward to hearing the valuable input and feedback from our residents on their vision for this new amenity.”

This project is partially funded by the California Natural Resource Agency through the Urban Greening Grant.
