After years of inactivity by the property owner and an extensive legal process, the City of Menifee is set to move forward with the demolition of the dilapidated buildings on the Krikorian Entertainment Complex property.
Demolition work is set to begin on Friday, January 24, marking a significant milestone following months of legal proceedings, inspections, and a court ruling in favor of the city’s efforts.
This action is a critical step in addressing both the city’s and the community’s concerns about the deteriorating condition and unsightly appearance of the structures.
A demolition contract was approved by the council in November 2024, with AD Improvements to conduct the demolition work and site clearance at a cost of $231,100. The city said it will seek to recover the full costs of abatement through a lien and/or assessment placed on the property, or through direct recovery efforts against the property owner.
