City of Menifee to celebrate holiday season with three annual events

The City of Menifee is celebrating the holiday season with three annual events: Xtream Light Fight, Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Bazaar, and Breakfast with Santa.

The City’s Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, December 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto College, 28237 La Piedra Rd. Festivities include a community parade, community performances, food and craft vendors, a snowzone, and other fun-filled activities for kids. Admission to the snowzone is free with a donation to the Menifee Community Cupboard booth or with an unwrapped gift for Santa’s Workshop. The parade activities will commence at 5 p.m. 

Breakfast with Santa is returning to the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center on Saturday, December 9, with three different sessions: 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, potatoes, and sausage. Attendees will be able to take a photo with Santa and participate in different activities and crafts throughout the breakfast. Registration is required. Tickets will not be available at the door. The cost is $12. Children under two years old are free. Registration is available at www.cityofmenifee.us/specialevents.

Residents will have until Monday, December 4, to enter their festively decorated home for Menifee’s Annual Xtream Light Fight. Categories include Best Theme, North Pole Neighbor, Inflatable Fun, Clark Griswold, and Community Favorite. Registration can be done online at www.cityofmenifee.us/specialevents. Residents will be able to vote for their favorites through an interactive map on the city’s website between Thursday, December 7, and Monday,
December 11. The winners will be announced on the city’s social media platform and Special Events webpage on Friday, December 15.
