The City of Menifee on Wednesday unveiled its new fire ladder truck apparatus at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at City Hall. The new $1.2 million life-saving apparatus was fully funded by Menifee’s Quality of Life Measure (Measure DD) and is now in service in the Menifee community. The truck will be housed at Station 76, 29950 Menifee Rd.
The Menifee Fire team, members of the business community, community partners, residents, and elected officials gathered at City Hall to celebrate the new truck. Attendees heard from Riverside County Fire Chief Bill Weiser, Mayor Bill Zimmerman, Mayor Pro Tem Lesa Sobek, Councilman Dean Deines, and City Manager Armando G. Villa. Presentations were made by Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Hewitt and representatives from the offices of State Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh and Assemblyman Kelly Seyarto.

“As the fifth fastest-growing city in the state, our public safety needs continue to grow as well,” Villa said. “As the city continues to see developments for larger buildings, such as office buildings and hotels, this new fire truck apparatus equips the city with the resources to provide a premier level of public safety.”
The new addition to the Menifee Fire arsenal is replacing an old ladder truck that has become outdated. “The technology in the new ladder truck really is incredible,” Councilman Deines said. “The new ladder truck is equipped with new technology, which offers our fire services the ability to be more efficient in ladder deployment and while out in service. Ultimately, providing our residents with the high level of service we enjoy in Menifee.”
Mayor Zimmerman called the new truck “an outstanding piece of equipment.” Councilwoman Sobek stated public safety is a top priority for the City of Menifee and the Menifee City Council. “We are thankful for our partnership with Riverside County Cal Fire, as we continue to collaborate to maintain the quality of life that Menifee residents have come to know, expect and enjoy.”
